A local curate and member of the Magic Cirlce was in our lacal newspaper the Acton and Ealing Gazzette. I tried to post a link to article but my computer and work won't let me for some reason. He has been training other clergy in using magic in Evangelism.

Is a member of FCM?

If you can get time read it do. I will try and post link when I can get on another computer which may not be until this evening.

I've known Tim for some years. He was also a policeman for 6 months, speaks fluent German and if I remember correctly was in the British skiing squad.

He is an awesome close-up magician. Better than any member that the FCM has ever had. Several magicians have rated him as in the top 20 close-uppers in the world. I have seen him in action and would certainly say he is in the top 10 in the country.

Several of us have tried to get him to join FCM at various points, including me & Pete McCahon and Roger Dunlop who is in the same diocese but he has always made excuses (I think he feels it's a bit 'beneath' him).

He may however, be approachable if asked to lecture, although he is still in training for the ministry so is very busy.

If, as the article suggests he is teaching magic and you can get on the course I would strongly advise it as you will learn from one of the best

I have his phone number if one of the committee wants to book him for a lecture ?

And there I was thinking that I was one of the best, LOL.

I think that FCMUK have some excellent close-up performers but some of theme seem to hide their lights under bushels.

It would be good if we could encourage all magicians who claim the Lord Jesus as their friend and Saviour to become members of FCMUK.

I second that, But maybe some of them need to drop the attitude!

I read the article in the Ealing local paper, was intrigued by his " torn and restored heart", emailed Tim to ask if I could use it and he replied " Go for it pal". He's on our side if not a member, yet.

Thanks Steve, I've made a couple of small prototypes, but it's much easier if it can be bought ready made.
