Hawkins Bazaar have got those stretchy tongues in again—Elwyn, you can replace your worn out one! (The fake one I mean!) Used one last weekend at church conference & went down brilliantly!

Hi Folks.
If anyone fancies making up a coal to diamonds effect then QD stores currently have a range of nice plastic diamonds.
The small ones which I am using are about 3/4" in diameter and come in a plastic sleeve of ten for about £1.95.
They also do a couple of larger sizes.

If you want magnets, go on to eBay & search for seller 'magnetsmagnetsmagnets' Very good prices & free postage. Have just put an order in & will follow up on here re the buying experience.
Magnets arrived today, very prompt delivery & very well packed. Price of fifty 10 x 2 mm is £4.99 & a block 46 x 30 x 10 mm is £7.27 both post free & they are extremely strong. That compares with about £2 each for the discs & £12 or more for the block from other suppliers!

Went into The Works in Bangor whilst on holiday.
They have a series of tricks priced at 1.99 each. Made by 'Hanky Panky' and labelled 'professional' they are hardly that, but they are more than children's magic. and seem to be quite usable for my (amateur) situation.
They had the essential tricks in - tapered decks etc, as well as mirror glass and milk glass, and anti-static glass. Cups and balls, indian rice bowls etc.
If you don't have the basics, it might be worth a look.

The Works also have two volumes of a book called "Man went into a bar" at £3.99 eaqch.
A vast compendium of jokes and one liners, if you can filter out the adult humour, which is far from being in the majority, but is noticeable in the books.

B & Q Tool box aisle flip-top box big enough for a card deck. £1.98.
It's see-through plastic with a bright orange lid. Inside it's the same size as an assassin's pouch. Outside a very sturdy belt clip.
I'm going to get some more to go inside my open-topped table (minus the lids) to hold wands, coins etc. I'm also going to try painting one / black-gaffer taping it to wear under a jacket.

Graham.
The Hanky Panky range also has a set of linking rings. Very nicely made and only slightly smaller than the Ninja Rings.
These are ideal for close-up as they fitin your pocket. Set of five rings and still only £1.99.

large tennis balls are £3 each at Tescos.
So square circle - In goes the small, broken tennis ball - out comes the restored larger one
