P is a member of my congregation and we have been praying for his situation since he came into the church - as stated in the referenced story his treatment has been almost unbelievable in our 'civilised' country. We have to hide his identity as his family are still at home, and in danger. Yours prayers are appreciated. The information below is from one of our church elders, and the story says it all.
"Together, we offered up our quiet, tearful prayers of thanks for his deliverance."I have written a story for the BBC about P's struggle for refugee status, which is currently voted 17th out of about 1000 submissions from all over the country in the 'Survival' category. I had to anonymise the story for the website because his family are still in danger.

The BBC will choose six stories as subjects for documentaries later this year, and these six will also be turned into books which will receive a lot of publicity from the BBC. A book deal could give 'P' a welcome financial boost when his family come to the UK, and a documentary would be able to explore all the challenges of a family reuniting after seven years.
